I have finially lost it.
This afternoon, as my husband got ready for work, he asked if I could drop one of his uniforms off at the cleaners this afternoon, I said sure, no problem, I could hit the grocery store while I was out…
So, while I waited for my 2 year old to wake up from his nap, my 8 year old and I baked a batch of cookies, and I made a list of what we needed at the grocery store (not much, mainly oranges, because I have been eating tons of them.) After my son woke up, I got him all ready, and off we went. We hit the dry cleaners and there was a line, so it took me a few minutes to get that dropped off, but not too long. And then we hit the grocery store. First, i realized I need to lift my 35lb child in to the cart, or he will be running wild, the only lifting limit they gave me was day of surgery, after that it was as I feel able. So I tried, and lifted him into the cart, with no pulling or pain, we are good, off we go. We get our shopping done, beef was on sale, buy one package, get one free, so I ended up getting more than I had planned, and then I noticed that a 10lb bag of potatoes was $1.49, so I got two, yes, two, because MIL will be here next week and potatoes are a cheap filler for meals. Plus, I will be making a holiday meal for her, and then a few days later, again for my mom. I did get oranges… but did I mention that we made it into the grocery store at 5pm on a weekday? it was packed. it took us 45 minutes in there. *gasp* oh, they had alcohol on sale too, so I got some of that, stocking up for the visit.
I am not sure if I classify as crazy for taking 3 kids to the grocery store alone, 2 days after surgery, or if the taking them pushed me into it… either way, commit me.
