on the way to work last night, Hubby started having issues with his car, it was missing like there was water in the gas…. we always fill up at the same stations, and never have trouble like this. So we think we have figured out what is happening…

Neighborhood kids are stealing gas, and replacing it with water so (hopefully) you won’t notice that it is missing…

SO. I went and got locking gas caps for the vehicles… and gas treatment for the car to remove the water.
the problem with this is the non-dealership caps for my Yukon make the check engine light come on, and GMC does not yet make a locking cap for the ‘07. GRRR… so what they recommended at GMC is this, get the locking cap, and put it on at night, or when the truck is parked for a while, and change it out with the real one when we drive it… We can do that. Though, if it weren’t for the water issue, I would let them steal what is in the truck, it is running E85 and will corrode their engines, and if they are going to steal my gas, then they deserve that!
